Why can't we be godly without fearing God?

The fear of God is not to be thought of as undesirable but desirable. We can’t be godly without the fear of God. Fearing God is taught in the NT and is wrongly tossed away for the love of God. The fear of God has great significance in the Christian’s spiritual life.
