The story of redemption begins with the story of ruin. Before salvation can be grasped, the reality of sin and the fall must be understood. Genesis 3 records mankind’s tragic fall when Adam and Eve disobeyed God, exchanging His truth for Satan’s deceit. From innocence to guilt, humanity shifted from fellowship with God to separation from Him. This ‘damage’—spiritual death—explains why the world is broken and why every person needs redemption. God’s redemptive plan reverses the effects of sin, restoring life, purpose, and relationship through Jesus Christ.
