Prayer Letter #394

God at Work—Always!

Dear Prayer Partners,

Thank you for praying for the recent messages at two Chinese churches. One person commented, “Your message was right on time,” about what he was dealing with. I found it strange to be speaking about India in Mandarin! Just this morning, I sent BFF digital resources to missionaries in Gambia via a contact from the Chinese church.

Preparation for the India talks was quite emotional, as I re-lived scenes from twenty years of training pastors there. I shared how it was like stepping back into Acts.

Now that my last large book project is largely finished, God has enlarged my vision by considering my whole life. I’ll share another time, but I’m seeking the Lord for what seems to be one or two big lifetime projects. With the advance of persecution and web connection, it makes sense to develop online training courses. Only 5% of pastors and evangelists worldwide have formal Bible training. BFF has many resources, ranging from a pastor’s calling to redemption and godly living. Do pray. I’m trying not to run ahead of the Lord but to follow His leading.

Increased training leads to better-equipped servants of God!

Thanks for praying! Linda’s heart function is “significantly improved”! She also found a soft brace that helps her ankle and hip.
The recent speaking opportunities went well! Praise the Lord!
God timely provided a newer vehicle to replace our crippled one! The SUV even has better lights and safe driving features, which I increasingly need. (Did you notice we finally downsized from a van seating 8 to 5?)
I just posted a new four-part video series, “The Three Stages of Marriage.”
Praise the Lord for the 17,000 people daily who viewed the two BFF websites in May.

Pray for Pastor Moses, the Indian pastor who hosted the Zoom class. They are exploring how to put the recorded teaching sessions on local television in India.
Paul speaks at the local Chinese church (in English) on July 7th.
BFF’s income has been less than half of our budget.
Paul is still seeking wisdom to hold an international Zoom class (in English).
Safe travels to see family and church friends this summer.
Resolution to Linda’s months-long cough.
