Prayer Letter #401

I Press On!

Dear Prayer Partners,

“Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize of God’s heavenly calling in Christ Jesus” (Phil 3:13-14, Berean Standard Bible).

I’m pressing on….but it is not yet clear where to! God’s will is always perfect (Rom 12:2), and so I trust Him for this new emphasis on (1) producing videos and (2) AI (Artificial Intelligence) translation of videos. However, it requires much focus.

Since I sensed this open door to reach the nations effectively, I started praying for more volunteers and donations to cover extra costs. Maybe someone would “own” that language YouTube channel and care for it. Is there a people group that you are burdened by? Let me know.

Praise

• The Lord greatly blessed the Chinese Mission Conference in Baltimore, with 1,400 in attendance. Thanks for your prayers for my particular role of making sure the joint small groups worked well, including communication with the many leaders. One highlight was meeting up with more than thirty alumni from our Pittsburgh church!
• Praise the Lord that Linda’s cough has packed up and gone. One new medication helped tremendously after a long year of the lingering cough.
• We praise the Lord for the increase in BFF donations towards the end of last year.
• The BFF Board meeting went well.
• Only by God’s grace have the two video teaching series been completed and posted on YouTube!  Unity: The Forgotten Treasure and The Godly Man: When God Touches a Man’s Life.
• AI translated over 250 videos in just over a month.

Pray

• I need extraordinary organization skills to set up all these videos, with good translation feeds. I’m first preparing to do this with the Overcoming Anxiety, Discovering God and Finding Peace seminar. I’ve already reshaped this into a class-like format.
• Paul and Linda hope to find refreshment on their upcoming trip to Florida.
• With a focus on video production and translation, I’ve had much less time to write.  I hope to make some fixed time to write more.
• Pray for finding good team-workers for each language to oversee the YouTube channels.
