Prayer Letter #365

The LORD Our Shepherd!

Dear Prayer Partners,

Psalm 23 brings rich comfort, peace, and assurance—especially in tight times. We are so glad to share that we found a house to rent in Holly Springs, southern Raleigh. The housing market is crazy here and thank the Lord for opening this place for us (near our three daughters in the greater Raleigh area).

The final closing for the CLRC center is Feb 28th; also the day we move out (Monday morning) and into our new place in the afternoon/eve. We just received approval, so we need to hurry to change utilities, get rental keys, and movers. We are glad that we trimmed down our furniture and things on our last move from Pittsburgh.

“Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever” (Psalm 23:6).

I have many reflections on our time here (1.5 years) in Bracey, but it has been:

  • A rich time where I learned more of God’s beauty and further anticipate the new heavenly home Jesus is preparing.
  • A touching time to see how God has manifested His love through all of your prayers and concerns.
  • A vivid assurance of God’s love when dear ones have gone beyond bounds trying to make the center a go or helping us find housing. In the end, God worked things out differently, but we are deeply touched; their generous offers God even more deeply touched God.
  • God has greatly blessed BFF resource development in this last year. This lakeside scene was truly inspirational. I’m almost done with a Biblical study on Social Justice.
  • Great to be part of a local church that loves His Word and her fellow saints.
  • It will be great to settle and focus on this BFF Super Project (my nickname for it); more info coming soon!

The LORD gave us time to slow down with this pause here—after many intense years of raising a large family, decades of homeschooling, church involvement for Linda and I, and BFF ministry. We are going through life transitions. But still, God is stirring my heart and mind with new training resources, pulling together much of what I have written, for the church worldwide. I hope to share more later; meanwhile, we celebrate our Shepherd’s leading through this move.

“Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever” (Psalm 23:6).

Please continue to pray for a smooth and safe moving time!
