Ecclesiastes 02:17–20 — Connecting Our Work to God’s Work

Ecclesiastes 02:17–20 — Connecting Our Work to God’s Work

Scriptural Focus: Genesis 3:16-18 • Ecclesiastes 2:17-20 • Philippians 2:16

Our labor under the sun often feels futile, yet Scripture calls us to connect daily work with eternal purpose. What we do, how we do it, and why we do it must flow from God’s design. Even Solomon, the wisest of men, grew weary of labor’s emptiness. Yet the curse of toil in Genesis 3 points us to a greater redemption: Christ transforms our work into worship. When we “hold fast the word of life” (Phil 2:16), our daily tasks gain eternal meaning. Every spreadsheet, sermon, and service becomes part of God’s enduring glory.
