RTS#06 The Design of Redemption || Redemption Through the Scriptures

Redemption was not an afterthought—it was part of God’s eternal design. Through prophecy, God revealed His plan, prepared His people, and fulfilled His promises in Jesus Christ, the Redeemer foretold before time began. This is Session 6.

Before time began, God designed a plan to redeem His people through His Son. The fall of man did not surprise God—it only revealed His grace. Scripture unfolds this divine design through hundreds of prophecies concerning Christ’s birth, death, resurrection, and reign. These prophecies are not random predictions but deliberate revelations pointing to Christ’s person and work. They demonstrate God’s sovereignty, faithfulness, and joy in His redemptive plan.

The design of redemption reveals a God who plans, promises, and performs His purposes perfectly. Each prophecy fulfilled in Jesus Christ reinforces our trust in His Word and deepens our worship. God’s plan is not reactionary but redemptive, inviting us to live with faith in His unshakable promises. As believers, we rejoice in knowing that history itself is shaped by His redemptive design.
