God’s Higher Purposes
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:10 NASB).
Dear Prayer Partners,
God’s calling on our lives begins with His design, which significantly shapes His purpose for us. What is God’s purpose for BFF? How does He want to complete these projects? Here are several, including two surprise ones.
• We have laid the vision and foundation for the Spiritual Life Path. This huge project will enable us to envision our journey with Christ positively, helping us grow. I’m considering having small teams develop with me a particular path. (Let me know if you are interested; perhaps we can do it virtually, starting in January.)
• Interestingly, BFF, for the first time, will be part of an exhibition. I’ll be giving away a free book at the Nov 2 Missions: Together Conference for the Greater Triangle area. This again forces me to think through God’s purposes for BFF (much like our annual 501(c)3 BFF board meeting). Pray as I consider setting up an exhibitor’s table.
• We were encouraged by the brothers and sisters who gave financial help to the believers affected by the desperate flooding in India (see video connected to Pastor Jagannath’s ministry in West Bengal.) Who would think that just a few hours west of us, here in North Carolina, there was also a widespread flooding problem from Helene? Thankfully, it largely missed us.
• Thank the Lord for the persevering grace to reprocess 105 brief videos for the D2 course, Reaching Beyond Mediocrity:Faith's Triumph Over Temptation. I tried before, but the project’s size befuddled me. Thank you for your prayers! This course combines spiritual warfare with basic biblical counseling to equip every young believer. It shows how to overcome basic issues like anxiety, lust, pride, anger and depression/discouragement.
• A brother has volunteered to start a BFF Hindi (Indian) website. Wow! Am I ever delighted. Pray for him as he tries to translate and post an article daily. Please pass it on to Hindi readers. https://bffbible.in Doesn’t it look good? Perhaps we will have other teams work on BFF Chinese or Spanish websites?
• We are also exploring a web radio program that can reach worldwide. This is not yet off the ground, but it is in our prayers. I also want to start other YouTube channels as another home for BFF international videos, starting with Hindi.
Praise
• Praise for the reprocessing of the 105 videos/audios for the Reaching Beyond Mediocrity course. I’m now linking them. Thanks for your prayers!
• Linda and I are doing fine. We are enjoying our Home Group’s new start.
• Teaching videos for the new course Unity: The Forgotten Treasure and the old course, The Godly Man: When Touches a Man’s Life, are being completed weekly.
• Though Linda’s cough is not totally gone, her x-ray showed no serious problem and her infection is gone. Paul’s backache completely healed.
• Praise the Lord BFF could send over $1500 to believers in India’s West Bengal area. (Feel free to contribute to our Love Fund.) We give to people and ministries that Paul keeps in contact with. There are so many needs.
Pray
• On October 13th, Paul speaks on Finding Forgiveness from Matthew 6:12-15 at the English congregation at RCCC (Raleigh Chinese Christian Church). May God touch hearts.
• I hope to complete Book 2 on Quality Times with God by the year’s end.
• Wisdom on how to present BFF resources at the Triangle Missions:Together conference (Raleigh area). What will our table look like?
