Prayer Letter #416
Through the Corridors of Time
Dear Prayer Partners, April 4, 2026
Today, we live in a different world than when this ministry began. I explained to someone yesterday that I used to make tiny graphics on my web pages so people wouldn't be hindered from viewing them. In 2000, I created my first webpage to keep people updated on our lives and ministry. That was the beginning of BFF! Adding graphics to webpages was nearly impossible. I actually used a program to split a page into pieces to create the webpage.
Check out the beginnings of our BFF ministry. What a different web world! Explore the three series in our old web page format: Letters | Messages | Vision
Recording and uploading videos had not yet been invented. There was no space on hard drives; dial-up internet lines could not handle it. Nor were there cameras and equipment to compress videos into small files like today. Now, anyone with a smartphone can create videos. Looking back, we are amazed at the changes that have occurred.
God implanted in me a passion to communicate to today’s world. “Releasing God’s truth to a new generation.” I had no idea what that would lead to. Before it was creating web pages. I still do this, but it also includes making video podcasts, hosting online BFF courses, and communicating visually with people around the world. May God continue to give grace in these end times.
Try out our new Bookstore page on the old website. At least for now, we are offering the PDF of A Biblical Perspective of Social Justice Issues: A Christian View of Reparations for free!
Praise
- Thousands of old BFF web pages have finally been updated. I’m grateful for AI’s assistance. This has allowed me to take this project off my plate and move on.
- I have moved on to another almost impossible job. Yesterday, I started two new podcasts; many more to come.
- We have been blessed by so many family members and friends visiting us over these last few weeks. Linda’s Mom is with us for one more week.
- Spring has come in all its fullness, with beautiful flowers bursting into many colors. Paul takes 10-20-minute dashes to the garden, tidies it up, and escapes the computer screen.
- Thank the Lord for the grace to speak on The Supremacy of God’s Grace from Ephesians 2:1-10. Your prayers are much appreciated.
Pray
- Persistence to work on our old podcast feeds (from 15 years ago or so).
- Continued grace in editing larger projects.
- Isaac and Louise will soon return from Sweden. They are still waiting for a decision on the permanent residence certificate application.
- I started teaching through the Relational Discipleship - Cross Training series.
