Prayer Letter #419

Very Grateful!

Unbelievable. A dream I never hoped would happen has come true. By God’s grace and timing, I’ve been able to upgrade the older BFF website. It’s no longer outdated! In fact, it has become more usable, user-friendly, and communicative than ever. We’ve even started adding new web pages. For example, I had two Swahili seminars that never had dedicated pages. Yesterday, I added one, and as I wrote this, thanks to AI, another eight pages for Swahili readers were added.

It’s making me think about all the other projects I never added to the BFF websites because I felt overwhelmed. This progress has led me to see our two websites differently.

I have to set priorities. For example, I nearly finished commentaries on Ephesians and Colossians. To complete the books, I need to dedicate a bit more time, but I can create web pages from many chapters.

News alert! Even before I finished writing this prayer letter, AI had completed preparing the new Tanzanian web page series! I just uploaded them 1 minute ago. Yes, I still need to check them. Sometimes improvements are needed, but they are minor. 

So I have been able to add many new podcasts, including foreign-language ones, with updated graphics. I included some of them above. Already, some are attracting a lot of page views.

Praise

• All the international podcasts have been updated. New ones added. Whew!

• Paul survived and thrived, attending the  Dead Sea Scrolls seminary class nearby. 

• Linda’s checkup is good, despite the flare-ups of old age!

• Paul has been able to take 2-3 grandsons to the pool for a swim each week.

• Paul has enjoyed reading about A.B. Simpson’s life, the founder of the CMA(Christian and Missionary Alliance) movement. Most noted: he started one of the earliest and, in that way, most influential Bible colleges.

• Thank the Lord, the Zoom talk with Indian believers went well. My colleague there turned it into a multi-session discussion after it.

Pray

• How interesting to watch how God works! The English pastor at the local Chinese church asked me to preach a series with him as part of a theological summer course. Since I started, I chose to speak on unity. July 5, 19, 26.

• Thank the Lord that the language section of the old website, hundreds of web pages, and its podcasts are all newly updated. (Let me know if you can help double-check these updated web pages. Just tell me what is wrong!)

• Paul is now seeking ways to use unpublished resources, in English and other languages, now that he can publish them on the web. 

• Help me follow God's priorities.
