Abounding in the Work of the Lord

Dear Prayer Partners,

The apostle’s challenge to always abound in the Lord’s work provides great motivation (1 Cor 15:58), but it also has me thinking. God called me; this is His work. What purpose does He have for this work in His Master plan? May God powerfully use each book, video, article, etc., in His mysterious ways worldwide.

I’m excited to share that an old series has been redesigned into a book: Abiding in Christ: Walking with Jesus. God personally trained me many years ago with some crucial lessons on biblical meditation. Download for free! (June23 only). A pastor from Ghana reflected on how God used it in his life in 2016.

“Dear Rev, after reading through your article entitled 'Abiding in Christ, Walking with Jesus’, l have come to realize that even though as a pastor l do meditation but not to the extent of waiting until I hear from the Lord due to my own time constraints for other activities. ln fact, l see this article by BFF as a Blessed eye opener. 'l have since repented of this hidden shortcomings (sin) after reading through your article several times….”

Recent Work

• Paul started publishing the mini-series (1,2) on AI (Artificial Intelligence) and its effect on the church.

• One-third through the 2 Peter 1:1-11, Pursuing His Excellence series. God uses this to broaden my understanding of spiritual development.

• As a member of the body of Christ, unity is essential. I am in the midst of heavy editing for my book and have reached the halfway point. To improve the overall flow of each chapter, I have decided to make a video for each, even though it takes additional time. This method helps me fine-tune each chapter and create a cohesive flow throughout the book.

Paul produced 5 videos and articles so far (to verse 5) on the exposition of 2 Peter 1:1-11, the Pursuing His Excellence series.
The Lord provided a car for Isaac in an exciting way. Always great to see God’s unique ways of showing how He answers prayers.
The “Abiding in Christ” paperback is now at Amazon, awaiting my review of the proof.
Last Tuesday, I had the opportunity to join a local American-Asian church-planters’ luncheon. Fun! Despite being the oldest one there, I was right at home with the ten Korean, Chinese, and Filipino pastors in this Triangle of Cities.

Pray

Linda had her echocardiogram and will meet with the doctor June 23. We are still wondering why she feels fine even though her heart is said to be failing, having no symptoms as before. Pray for full healing of Linda’s heart and that she need not have a permanent defibrillator and ongoing heart medicine.
Keep praying for insight into the book on church unity.
Paul will speak on July 9th at the local Chinese church’s English service.
Paul mentioned the possibility of training pastors via Zoom in India, but the coordinator said that the government has made it very difficult for the church. The training is on hold for now. Pray for the Indian Christians.
Some are going through trying health issues: K, R, and P (our neighbor).
Our daughter and son-in-law (Christy and Elias) are moving locally. Lots to do!
