Prayer Letter #331
BFFPray “I Have Set the Lord Before Me”
Dear Prayer Partners,
Thanks so much for your support through prayer and gifts. We only have $3,000 to go! Several have personally asked me, “Are your plans for this trip settled?”
Yes. After much discussion and prayer with the coordinator in India, we decided to keep the two seminars about 400 miles apart from each other. They know the traveling stipend does add to the cost, but the organization has little to no money to give the workers, so offering to help with travel expenses is a token of support. We reduced the number of workers invited to lower the costs.
These workers, when in training, come together every six months or so for training, and then return to their villages for work among the many unbelievers. The work is hard as there are few Christian believers.
Due to increased opposition, I will not name the places that I am going, but I will be in large cities and should not face any difficulties. What I crave is God’s heart and wisdom to be able to properly minister His Word to these workers.
Praise:
- Praise the Lord! The Bengali translation of the 40-page handout should be done by the beginning of next week.
- My eye is much better, but I need to be on guard for this seemingly allergy-induced problem.
- I am halfway through the preparation of my 11 talks to be given in each place.
- Praise the Lord that much financial support has come in for this STM trip!
- God has given safety for recent travels.
Please pray for:
- Preparation for the last 5-6 talks for the STM to be completed.
- Ask for wisdom to know how to share on the Holy Spirit with those working in these rural areas of India, often facing opposition and other hardships.
- Ask the Lord to bring the remaining funds in for the STM ($3,000).
- Ask God to revive the students I will be speaking to on campus on Aug 31.
- Do ask the Lord to watch over my family and ministry as I depart on Sept 5th.
- Do pray that God will also bring in funds for BFF’s general needs.
