Prayer Letter #390
Step by Step
How do you write a long, challenging book? Word by word. Words make up sentences, paragraphs, etc. I praise God for leading me through this most challenging book on unity.
It all started when I was still in Virginia at the retreat center. I was about to finish a book on the church when the Spirit spoke to me about unity. I had no idea how the church could unite since too many theological issues divide us. This book contains the lessons the Lord has taught me along the way. God is faithful. The book An Examination of Our Theological Conclusions: A Suggested Architecture for Bringing Unity to Our Theological Commitment and Approach will soon be ready for outside editing.
I just completed the fifth of thirteen Zoom classes with the Indian pastors. My many days of training in India have helped me better understand them and their situations.
Linda and I will be traveling to Pittsburgh next week to serve again on an ordination council, this time with the mother church, which I pastored in the 90’s after our return from Taiwan. Of course, we will be delighted to see our family members and many friends in Pittsburgh.
Praise
- The Zoom India pastor’s class has been going well. Recording and uploading.
- Linda’s heart has been stable.
- Praise the Lord that Paul has finally finished writing An Examination of Our Theological Conclusions.
- We love spring here! Trees and plants are blossoming.
Pray
- Pray for the weekly training class on leadership development with the Indian pastors.
- Linda’s ankle is still wonky.
- Pray for the mentoring situations we are involved in.
- They are initially proposing April for the Malawi training. Their set budget seems high, but the book translation has begun.
- Paul started getting neck/head intensive migraines. He will get a CTA scan because they are increasing in frequency (2-3 times a week).
